As a Private Banking Transformation Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Management Consultant, you will work with our clients to transform and optimise their private banking functions, processes, and operating models. You will bring deep expertise in private banking products, client lifecycle management, front-to-back processes, and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve assessing current practices, defining target operating models, and implementing solutions that deliver tangible benefits and measurable impact for Private Banking organizations.
You will spend most of your time at client sites, engaging with senior management, front-office, middle-office, and operations teams to deliver meaningful change. The role requires both strategic insight and hands-on execution, with an ability to bridge business and technology.
Job Responsibilities:
· Apply subject matter expertise in Private Banking to evaluate and document business processes, client journeys, and operating models.
· Assess and re-engineer Private Banking processes including client onboarding & KYC, relationship management, portfolio management, product advisory, lending, and compliance.
· Define Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Target Operating Models (TOM) for Private Banking functions.
· Identify opportunities where digital and technical solutions (e.g., CRM, core banking, portfolio management systems) can enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
· Challenge existing practices and provide innovative, client-centric solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Required to document processes and SOPs from L1–L4 using methodologies such as BPMN, UML, or TOGAF ArchiMate.
· Work in project teams at client locations, driving delivery of transformation initiatives and ensuring measurable results.
· Facilitate training and knowledge transfer for client teams on new processes, systems, and governance models.
· Prepare and deliver structured presentations, reports, evaluations, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or above in business, Finance, economics, or related disciplines.
· Demonstrable credentials and experience in private banking or wealth management.
· At least 7 years of experience in private banking across the front, middle, or back office, with exposure to transformation or consulting projects.
· Strong knowledge of Private Banking products (investments, structured products, credit, deposits, advisory services).
· Familiarity with leading private banking platforms (e.g., Avaloq, Temenos, Finacle Wealth, Salesforce CRM) is advantageous.
· Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks (AML, KYC, FATCA, CRS, suitability, cross-border rules).
· Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Resilient, with excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
· Knowledge of relevant local regulations and industry standards in Singapore.
· An appreciation of the consulting lifestyle and the ability to travel both locally and abroad for short-term and long-term project assignments.
· Preference will be given to immediate starters.
